The public sector needs a whole new work model – how public servants work, where they work and how they stay connected to their work – to retain and attract top talent and to meet the new demands it is facing.

A new Workforce and Workspace Sustainability model, reflecting the demands and expectations of citizens and workers and delivering on environmental stewardship will be a major component in a new public sector operating model that makes the public sector relevant and respected.

Governments are going to have to become much more aggressive in their embrace of the new social networking tools and applications because they will make a big difference to governing, service delivery, and citizen inclusion

A new, more open and collaborative Workforce and Workspace Sustainability Model is central to building trust and legitimacy in Government.
