I am one of two co-founders of Bang the Table, a small Australian based practice specialising in online community engagement tools and techniques. Our business is all about adapting web 2.0 technologies for the community engagement task undertaken by public (and private) sector organisations. After 15 years in the Australian (NSW) public service, I left 2 years ago to set up a consultancy focusing on traditional community engagement processes. We used this time to fund the development of our online service, which we are now actively marketing to public and private sector clients - predominantly in Australia, but also in New Zealand and to a lesser extent in the UK & North America.
