Khuloud Odeh

Khuloud Odeh is an IT Strategist, Systems Thinker and Researcher in the areas of Information and Communication Technology for Development (ICT4D), Strategic Leadership, Sustainability, Green IT, and gender issues in the technology fields. Between 2004 and 2009, she served as the CIO of CHF International, an international development NGO. Through working in the development sector, she got her deeper understanding of sustainable development concepts, and managed to combine two of her greatest passions: the love for innovative use of IT, and the passion for helping people. Prior to CHF, she held several Sr. software engineering and management positions at private and public sector organizations in the Middle East, Canada, and the US. Ms. Odeh’s current focus is specialized in the enabling role of ICT in global sustainability. Khuloud is a PhD candidate at the Volgenau School of IT- George Mason University, and recently received Master’s degree in Strategic Leadership towards Sustainability (MSLS) from Blekinge Institute of Technology in Karlskrona, Sweden. She also holds a BS and Master’s degrees in Computer Science. Her PhD research is in sustainability assessment methods of the cloud-computing models vs. conventional ones.
