I agree with you Russell that at this point seasteading seems to be the only way for the idea of competitive government to have a chance. Given that every square inch of known land is occupied by existing governments and those governments are not likely to ever give up that land, it seems that creating new land is the only way for fringe groups to experiment with different forms of government. I think most people would agree with your statement Paul that the idea doesn't seem that real or even realistic. To me though, it doesn't seem as unrealistic as trying to actually influence our existing governments. Influencing existing governments seems like quite a daunting task.
