What is of most interest to me is the ability of technology to strengthen or grow relationships, whether deliberative, economic, etc, and facilitate the move towards a more just society.
I am distance learning consultant and information technology specialist with Cornell Cooperative Extension. Current areas of interest include digital storytelling in the context of online learning, and exploring appropriate tools and techniques for civic engagement online. I develops and teach online classes on social networking and teaching and learning online.
I am also involved with Planting Hope, a non-profit organization based in Montpelier, VT and San Ramon, Nicaragua. Through Planting Hope I work in, and around, San Ramon and while in Nicaragua on issues related to technology, youth empowerment and access.
